Did you know that students and families in our district speak 27 different languages?
To celebrate National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month, we’re hosting a special event for all district staff, students and their families.

The next Durango School District 9-R Board of Education Regular Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Administration Building Board Room at 201 E 12th St., Durango.

For its exemplary record of leadership, service and activities that serve to improve the school and community, the Durango High School Student Leadership program has been recognized as a 2022 National Gold Council of Excellence by the National Association of Student Councils (NatStuCo). This is the eleventh time DHS has been recognized for this accomplishment.

The next 9-R Board of Education Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 5:30 p.m, in the Board Room of the 9-R Administration Building

Join members of the 9-R Board of Education for an informal Coffee Chat, Thursday, April 28, 12:00-1:00 p.m, at the Common Grounds Cafe, inside the Durango Public Library.

Please remember to report all symptoms and home test results to the school health office. Symptomatic students should not attend school on the first day of their symptoms. Contact your school health office for guidance beyond day 1 of symptoms.

On March 31, the Durango Education Foundation presented 9-R with $250,000 for the Bridge the Gap Campaign.
“We wanted to give the school district extra funds to help those kids who are less fortunate and continue to support education in this community,” said Tom Geyer, Board President of Durango Education Foundation.

The March 29, 2022 9-R Board of Education Regular Meeting will begin at 5:00PM in the Board Room in the Administration Building, 201 E. 12th Street, Durango.
