Do not wait until the last second to register for this fall and get cleared by the athletics office! Registration and physicals are due by July 31.

There was a threat to Durango High School this morning. Staff and students at all of our schools are safe.

In June, Mason Rowland, Durango High School (DHS) 2023 graduate, won the 2023 Colorado High School Coaches Association’s Steinmark Award. She was deemed the best female student athlete in the state of Colorado by athletic directors and coaches. This is the most prestigious award for a high school senior student-athlete in Colorado.

The DHS Graduation Ceremony is May 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the DHS Football Stadium. If you are planning to attend the ceremony, please review the parking plan and tips for enjoying the ceremony.

The Durango School District is hosting a Student Narcan training for Durango High School and Big Picture High School students on Wednesday, May 17, at 4:00 p.m., in the Administration Building Board Room. High school students who are currently enrolled in Durango Schools will be trained on opioids, their impact, and learn how to use the opioid antagonist, Narcan, in a life saving emergency.

The Black Student Alliance student club of Durango High School raised $19,000 over two school years to travel to Atlanta, Georgia in April. This unique educational opportunity gave 7 students and 3 teachers an immersive experience in Black history, culture, and the opportunity to tour an array of Historically Black Colleges and Universities(HBCUs) located within the city. Congratulations to members of the DHS Orchestra who received a Superior (I) score at the Colorado American String Teachers Association (ASTA) State Festival as well as the CHSAA Regional Festival.
