Project Angel Flight Update: Miller Middle School staff and students will move out of Durango High School's West Wing and Impact Career Innovation Center and into the new school building at 2608 Junction St. next month. Staff and students will resume classes on Sept. 24.

It is Durango School District’s intent to distribute new Chromebooks to incoming 6th and 9th grade students. Upon distribution of the new device, the student may submit a new non-refundable insurance deposit to cover the new device. This insurance policy is available to 6th – 12th grade students.

Miller Middle School students and staff will not be able to move into the new school on Aug. 20 due to damage from a fire. Miller students will begin the year at locations in and near the Durango High School campus.

It's time to begin planning for fall sports. Students must complete registration and a physical exam to participate.

The Durango High School (DHS) Graduation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 24, at 6:00 p.m. For those planning to attend, we have the following tips.

It will be a peak moment of triumph, inspiration, and reunion. The district's new "Walk Stars" event on May 22 and 23 is an invitation for all graduating seniors from Durango High School (DHS) and Big Picture High School (BPHS) to inspire younger students – and teachers – with a celebration at their former schools.

The Durango School District Administration Office summer hours will be in effect June 3rd - July 26. We will operate with regular business hours Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm, and be closed to the public on Fridays during this time period.

What better way to demonstrate hands-on learning than letting students run an entire event? This unique approach is now an award-winning model for the state. Team Impact students and the district’s Communication Department have been recognized with a 2024 Medallion Award, the highest achievement awarded by the Colorado School Public Relations Association.

More than 100 Durango High School (DHS) students earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Program. This program celebrates students' hard work in high school and showcase their strong academic performance.

On May 1, the joy of creating was on display. Fourteen Durango High School students in Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways demonstrated their capstone projects at the Impact Career Innovation Center.
