The Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission and Youth Engagement Program (MYAC) (YEP) Was established by ResolutionR-2010-22. The purpose of this Advisory Commission is to create an opportunity for youth involvement, have a forum for open youth discussion of issues affecting them, develop citizenship skills, and encourage participation in community issues. Seven regular voting members and two alternate members appointed by City Council who are in grades 9-12. Members of the YEP are youth appointed one to each seven other boards as voting members and attend the (MYAC) work sessions. Term of office is one year while school is in session from August to May.
