Ski Barn and Tailwind Nutrition Name Winners in Marketing Projects

"I was glad Ski Barn recognized our campaign among the others because we really felt they have a great opportunity to expand into new markets while maintaining their core customer base,", commented Smagacz.

Jenny Vierling of Tailwind Nutrition awarded 1st place in the Marketing Mix project to the team of Tristan Hayden, Dylan Ridgway and Malachi Lonadier.  In this project, students created a product line extension, building off Tailwind's substantial brand equity in the endurance fuel market.

Ridgway, Lonadier, and Hayden researched this market niche and suggested tailwind release a customizable endurance fuel, which allows consumers to mix the existing flavors into their own, unique formula.  The marketing mix plan also incorporated distribution, pricing, and visual merchandising considerations into the product line extension.

"It was a great experience to pull everything we learned in class together and to be able to present to a prominent local business owner," commented Lonadier.
