Each year Durango High School sends a handful of our top qualifiers to the International Thespian Festival to compete during the summer. During the week-long theatre extravaganza, students compete and are recognized on an international level. It's an opportunity for these students to see the best theatre in the country, participate in workshops lead by industry professionals, make connections with other passionate theatre practitioners, interview for colleges, audition for scholarships, and spend a week together that will change their lives.
To help defer the costs for students to attend the competition, DHS is hosting a benefit dinner gala. Students will perform their competition pieces, and the upcoming sophomore class will serve dinner catered by the wonderful Durangourmet. This will be the only opportunity to see public performances of these pieces.
The event takes place on Thursday April 12th at 6:00pm in the DHS cafeteria. Your ticket will include an evening of entertainment as well as a 3 course meal. Tickets can be purchased individually for $50, or priority tables are sold for $375 for the table. A table seats 10 people.
