One never knows where a career path will take you. Mrs. Matheson holds a BS in Forestry (NAU) and a MS in Renewable Natural Resources Planning (UofA). In her 15th year as a consulting Forester, Mrs. Matheson volunteered at Riverview Elementary, where her kids attended school. Eventually, she was put on the payroll, and, with her kids, she graduated from Riverview, then Miller, and is in now her eighth year at Durango High School (she promised she wouldn’t follow her kids to college).
As the DHS Registrar, Mrs. Matheson is responsible for enrolling new students, transcripting the courses and credits for transfer students, and certifying seniors’ transcripts. In addition, Mrs. Matheson manages the archived records of all former Durango School District 9-R students, some dating back to 1903!
Mrs. Matheson enjoys hiking, camping, boating and adventure motorcycling with her husband and kids. Consulting forestry has become a low priority.
