We continue to strive to meet each and every student’s health, training, and fitness needs by offering a diverse curriculum and state of the art facilities along with providing educational and leadership opportunities in the beautiful outdoors of Durango and in our very own backyard of the San Juan National Forest.

 

These facilities and course offerings for DHS Students include:

 

      •Health Education and Personal Training with a VO2 Testing Lab

      •Outdoor Education, Fly Fishing, and Walking with:

            *A 26’ wide x 38’ high Indoor Climbing Wall

            *use of the Animas River Trail

            *Lessons in the Durango Outdoors and the San Juan Mountains   

      •Weights, Multi-Fitness, Yoga, Dance, and Team Sports with:

            *A Strength & Conditioning Training facility

            *A 12 station Body Master Machine and 6 Power Rack Stations

            *A Cardio Fitness Room with 19 spin bikes, 6 rowers, and 2 kayak pros

            *3 Gyms and 6 Tennis Courts

            *A New All-Weather Track and Multiuse Field with artificial turf.
