In addition to our rigorous academics, DHS offers students dozens of athletic, extracurricular, and co curricular activities so that every student may explore their interests. Learn more about our Clubs and Activities here.
Parent/Athlete Season kick-off meetings will now be a part of the Head Coach's initial team mandatory meetings. The Head coach will contact you for time and date of his/her team meeting.
All athletes and activity participants must be registered and complete the registration process with the Athletics Office before August 6, 2018, the first official day of practice. We hope to offer an online registration process this summer, that will accommodate online payments. Please return for more details and a link. All athletics and Marching Band will still require a signed doctor's physical. Until the online process is complete, we will accept the paperwork available for download at the bottom of this page.
There is a Participation Fee for the following activities at Durango High School: All sports, Marching Band, DECA, FFA, Instrumental Music, Knowledge Bowl, Skills USA, Speech and Debate, and Vocal Music. Athletes/Activity participants should be prepared to pay the fee when they pick up their red/white card. Students will not be eligible for participation until fees are paid and the registration process is complete. (Now accepting debit or credit cards!)
No activity (DECA, FFA, Orchestra, Choir, Knowledge Bowl, SkillsUSA, Speech and Debate, Concert Band) requires a physical, except Marching Band.
All athletes are required to complete a baseline concussion test before their first practice.
