A SBHC offers a practical and inexpensive approach for providing preventive and integrated health care services to students during school hours.

DHS - SBHC Mission Statement

A collaborative and innovative group of health educators, health care providers and community partners committed to:

  • promoting healthy lifestyle choices and empowering youth to take responsibility for their health and health care;
  • ensuring all students have access to affordable, behavioral, physical and oral health care;
  • providing an integrated model of healthcare that focuses on positive youth development;
  • encouraging parent/guardian involvement to support and sustain successful health and academic outcomes; and
  • offering services in a safe, confidential and user-friendly environment.
